What to Expect
To begin, your practitioner will assess your condition, diagnose any problems and help you understand what is wrong. They will work with you to develop a treatment plan that takes into account your lifestyle, goals, leisure activities and general health.
Throughout your treatment program, your practitioner will evaluate your progress at regular intervals and modify your treatment and goals accordingly. Wherever possible, your practitioners will also help you to manage your condition independently for the longer term.
How long are the appointments?
Initial consultation – minimum 45 minutes
Standard consultation – from 30 minutes
Do I need to bring anything?
Please bring your health fund card (if you have private health insurance) and any scans and/or reports if it is an ongoing issue. Please wear appropriate clothing as you may need to do exercises on the gym floor.
Can I claim the cost of my treatment (HICAPS)?
Yes, depending on your private health care provider and membership we are able to process on-the-spot health claims. Please bring your card with you, each time to process the claim.
What if I forget my card at home?
Your payment will be processed in full, then we will provide you with an invoice for you to claim with your chosen health fund directly.
Do I need a referral?
A referral is not required unless you are seeing our practitioners for one of the following:
- WorkCover’s compensation case
- Compulsory Third Party (CTP)
- Department of Veteran’s Affair (DVA)
- Enhanced Primary Care (EPC)
