Coach Col Dog’s Tip of the Week

T I M E – the one thing we all get the same amount of each day.

How are you spending your time? What do you wish you spent more time doing?

These were a couple of questions I asked myself before I took my first few steps to changing careers.

The older I get the faster the time seems to go, back at school, 10 weeks of term was the longest thing evvvveeeerrr – as I got closer to the end of high school it didn’t seem anywhere near as long, and now with a number of clients who are teachers, I can’t get my head around how quickly 10 weeks of our lives can disappear.

I am a big believer in patience, whilst the time we are here for does fly, we need to exercise patience regularly chasing what we want but use our time wisely in getting there.

I was a bandit for a sleep in during my early 20s, now a sleep in is 7am and once a week, but I couldn’t be happier. I’ve got lots of shit I want to get done, and extra sleep won’t get me closer to getting it done.

I thrive off being busy, and want to keep squeezing everything I can out of this life – time with friends and family has become so much more valuable to me the more I realised we don’t have enough of it.

Sleep and allocating time for recovery are still priorities for me – they are planned in each week just like everything else is 😴

My whole point on all of this is to be conscious of your time – spend as much of it doing what YOU want to do 🙏🏻🙏🏻
